On Labor Day, September 3, 2012, the second Pennsylvania fish for free day will be held. This is your opportunity to try your hand at smallmouth fishing without having to pay the Commonwealth for that right. If you are seeing all the fun that smallmouth anglers can have, find a friend that can help you out and hit a local river, stream or lake near you.!

Of course if you catch some sunnies or trout, that would be ok to. Just have fun 🙂

Pennsylvania Fish For Free Day

“Fish-for-Free days are a convenient way to introduce friends and family to the sport of fishing,” said PFBC Executive Director John Arway. “Many families spend the day at lakes and parks throughout the state. Now they can try fishing at no cost. We know that once people try it, particularly kids, they will see that fishing is a great recreational activity and they will want to do it more” Source

Fishing is good, clean fun for you and the whole family. Take this opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Occasionally people think that fishing has to be expensive. Like many states, Pennsylvania has so many streams, ponds, lakes and rivers that you can easily find fishing opportunities almost anywhere.
