Smallmouth bass in the French Broad River continues to be very good as can be seen in the fishing report from the great folks at the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Fontana: Smallmouth and spotted bass activity very good. The bass are hitting live minnows, jerkbaits, Gulp minnows and lead-head jigs with artificial minnows.

French Broad River: Smallmouth fishing in the French Broad River continues to be very good, averaging 25 bass per outing, said fishing guide Chris Manderson.
