Spawning Smallmouth Bass – Under water video

Spawning smallmouth bass are in or beginning their dirty dance at this time of the year.  It is so important for the future of the sport to allow these beauties to “do their thing” and complete the spawn in peace.

Smallmouth bass have natural predators such as other fish, birds, crayfish, etc that are more than happy to prey on them and their nests.  Leave the bronzebacks alone right now and fish for trout or something else.

Here is some great video of smallmouths during the spawn.

Hope you enjoy and I know its hard not to target these fish because they are so accessible.  Let nature take its course and encourage your friends to leave them alone during the spawn.

Wow! Bass fishing is one of the most cmpolex types of fishing becasue there are so many techniques to try and suceed with.If your boatless some of the fast techniques like spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and crankbaits might be less productive because they are fat retrieves designed to cover alot of ground.Obviously fishing bait can be very sucessful, like worms or shad, but takes some of the sport out of it.some of the most sucessful bass fisherman swear by carolina or texas rigged plastic worms and also Jigs.
