Smallmouth Bass Fishing in New Jersey

With the onset of trout season, many anglers will be hitting the streams and smaller rivers looking to catch stocked trout. Some of them may find a smallmouth at the other end of their line. Habitats that are conducive to trout survival also hold smallmouth bass. The forage is ideal for smallies; crayfish, bugs, other small fish.ᅠ

Don’t forget that you don’t always need a jet boat or a bass boat or access to one of the great rivers in your area to have some fun with smallmouth bass.

If you fish, you probably remember your first encounter with a smallmouth bass. The memory of the fury at the other end of the line never completely fades.
