Recycling Used Plastic Baits

We all hate it when we are fishing soft plastics, especially some of the more fragile expensive baits, and the hook rips through the end of the bait or it gets trashed, destroying the action of the bait.

Sure, with stick baits, we can use them sometimes as Ned rigs, but if you have a little time and energy, take a look at this video to learn how to melt down and remake soft plastics.

Hope you find this video helpful and remember, if you have more time than money, this is a great way to save a lot of cash, while also reducing waste!

You’ll get a great “roadkill” type of color which can be super effective as well. If you would like to check out some molds, I recommend these molds at Tackle Warehouse.
