[VIdeo] River and Stream Hopping For Smallmouth Bass

You don't need a fancy boat to catch 'em!

The thing I love about smallmouth bass fishing is that in most areas of the country where smallmouth bass live, they are easy to access in rivers and streams. You can fish from shore, wade a bit or float in a kayak, small boat or whatever.

If you can pick up a couple of key lures/baits, you are all set.

Look how easy it is

Get yourself a 6 1/2 foot medium fast spinning rod, a decent reel with a 6.2:1 gear ratio and the baits listed below.

X-rap jerkbait or similar
Tubes – rigged weedless to reduce snags which are harder to deal with from shore
Senkos

Get out there and fish! No excuses!
